Right to Smile, a non-governmental organisation, gives opportunity to people to volunteer locally and abroad a bit differently than the norm.
Currently four projects are managed by Right to Smile (Right2Smile); located in Kenya, India, Cambodia and home sweet home, Malta, where bettering the health, empowerment and education of the countries will be the organisation’s aim of the projects.
When volunteering abroad, the organisation supports travel education, due to teachings experiencing a different culture can bring. It supports also volunteering responsibly. Responsible volunteering is all about volunteering being open-minded about other people’s cultures and volunteering without having a stigma about the country you are going to visit; sometimes what the country needs is not what you think it needs.
Volunteering with Right to Smile is not centered around giving something to society, but it is centered around your compassion, skills and self-development. For Right to Smile (Right2Smile) volunteers, going good does not mean giving only, it also means getting a lot back.
